About US

One Sunday after church, Clara Graham’s four-year-old son went straight to the piano and banged on the keys for the first time in his life. Clara thought this behavior was very strange but allowed her son to sit for a while. Just as she was about to end his session, she noticed he was pecking individual keys that sounded like the melody of a song sung at church that very day. As she continued to listen, she realized her son had an incredible ear and was musically gifted. She immediately signed him up for piano lessons and began catering to his musical gift, ensuring he had every opportunity available to flourish with his talents. She continued to support his musical development and endeavors throughout school and into adulthood, where he became a prominent musical pillar in the community. Clara Graham’s son is Justin Graham, who has been musically gifted since the day he was born. It’s because of his mother’s support, nurturing, and belief in his abilities that he is the musician, composer, teacher, and performer he is today.

Clara Graham

Nurturer & Supporter

Sadly, Clara’s life ended abruptly at the hands of the people she was entrusted to. In conjunction with this traumatic experience and the unavailability of the mortuary and cemetery, Justin was forced to bury his mother on his 35th birthday, and it has never been the same. Fortunately, through years of counseling and medicine, Justin is on the mend and can now see a brighter future. Because careers in music are often undervalued and not respected as lucrative and life-sustaining occupations, Justin works very hard to prove that mindset wrong and dispel that myth. He is the creator of MuziqueBaux, LLC, a business that will provide opportunities for professional musicians to further their careers in music. He also attends Eureka College to complete his Music Education Degree and obtain a State-Certified Teaching Certificate, which will afford him the opportunity to teach students from Kindergarten through 12th grade full-time. Although his journey to complete wholeness is not yet finished, he desires to take BACK the power of his birthday by turning it into something positive. Consequently, the Clara Graham Annual Music Scholarship was created.

The Clara Graham Annual Music Scholarship will award $1,000 once a year to a graduating senior from Manual High School. To qualify for this scholarship, the student must plan to attend a two or four-year college or university, major or minor in a music-focused field, and complete a two-page essay explaining the music-focused field and why they should be awarded the scholarship. Clara Graham’s legacy will live on through this Annual Scholarship by supporting young musicians who may not have been fortunate enough to have a mother like her. Here’s to giving a helping hand to our future talent!
